Winter Garden
Thursday 16th January 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Local Historian, p.a. Morbid tells the story of The Middlesbrough Winter Garden, one of the town’s most famous, yet forgotten social experiments. Set up by Florence Bell in 1907, its aim was to provide a place away from the public houses during the winter months for the people in town. Music, art and literature were all included within the penny door charge.
