A learndirect report has recently shown a huge Skills Gap between what job seekers think employers are looking for and what employers really are looking for.
Do you recognise the importance of your own skills and the skills you have to work on?
The Hope Foundation runs a Work Club, supported by National Careers Service advisors which will help you analyse your own skills, build on them and sell them effectively to potential employers.
We run a number of workshops helping you to understand and use Universal Jobs Match and teach you the basic IT skills needed to type a CV, email it to employers and search for jobs online.
You could then sign up for the IT for Work qualification to improve your job search, application and interview techniques.

Thanks to County Durham Community Foundation for supporting us with funding from the #NETCoronaVirusAppeal. This will enable us to equip our staff with what they need to adapt and continue to provide our services, and some new ones, safely from their own homes. We are grateful for this funding as it will help us support the people we would normally work with and also others during the #coronavirus outbreak.Find out more.
