We’re open during lockdown...

5th November, 2020
The Hope Foundation, Middlesbrough

Open as normal

Lockdown starts today across the UK.

The Hope Foundation is staying open almost as normal and delivering courses, workshops, careers advice and PC access.

You can watch our video to see all of the precautions we have put in place to keep the centre and everyone who uses it covid-safe.

At the moment we still cannot open the café.

If you are interested in courses or careers advice but would prefer not to come in to the centre then you can do this from home. Please get in touch to see how we can help

We have a number of online services in place and in October launched our Digital Library. If you don’t have a device, don’t worry! You can borrow one from The Hope Foundation and we will help you to use it.

Ageing Better MiddlesbroughAgeing Better Middlesbrough are continuing to offer

  • a befriending service
  • a selection of digital activities
  • activity packs
  • walk in the park (one to one, with covid secure measures in place)
  • one- to-one IT support within the Hope Foundation

Many people will be more isolated in the coming weeks. If there is anyone you think would benefit from learning basic digital skills, befriending calls or volunteering opportunities then please get in touch.

The Hope Foundation has always been committed to inclusion and specifically digital inclusion and this will continue throughout the coronavirus. Read the blog Sue wrote during the first lockdown about reducing this divide.
